Responsible for managing extensive cross-functional teams in the development and delivery of CenturyLink Consumer Internet Security and WiFi Management Applications that were aligned with business objectives, priorities, and the portfolio roadmap.

  • Orchestrated a new Consumer Security & WiFi Management subscription service and mobile application (API) that included 2 vendor cloud services over the Consumer Access Network embedded in router firmware that is targeted for $1.5 million in new revenue for consumer business in the first full year.
  • Demonstrated IT and Telecom Engineering architectural technical expertise for new services and provided accurate business analysis for product value and managed backlog.
  • Generated a collaborative process for establishing trusting relationships with key leaders from across the business, IT & Engineering development and with external technical vendors critical to the success of the product including SharePoint/Teams 365 sites for maximized communication to build the right things at the right time. These processes included backlog, issues, enablers, and defect management.
  • Optimized IT SAFe process as a Solution Manager role that produced JIRA/Confluence dashboards for PI planning & SCRUM task management of IT application development and prioritization process. Coordinated Kanban Task board using Microsoft Planner in Teams with product owner.
  • Corresponded product MVP capabilities-features for PI Planning for Agile release trains (ART). Directed prioritization of features and user stories and defined testing\acceptance criteria. Collaborated with other product manager-owners during PI planning for development commitments.
  • Organized sprint demos and reviews for product management and facilitated Beta test efforts for new service. Performed beta testing for mobile and browser-based applications.

  • Achieved a yearly $7M capital (COGS) budget for Voice (Wholesale & Enterprise) and Voice Conferencing groups, from work intake through delivery.
  • Controlled a successful SCP technology replacement program which impacted a $40M yearly toll free product revenue stream and $4M vendor budget.
  • Orchestrated an engineering development process to improve quality and delivery of the projects that contributed to a 90% baseline achievement for project delivery.

Oversaw day-to-day business operations for firm including new business development, account relationship management and financial operations. Served as program lead on key client engagements.

  • Produced an optimization program at The Berry Company to stabilize, sustain and scale operations to improve the company billing to telecom customers. Authored user stories for strengthening the billing functions through IT development and managed backlog. Owned daily stand up SCRUM calls for IT development.
  • Achieved IDM system deployment of hardware storage product entitlement system to protect $20M revenue stream at Sun Microsystems. Provided the role as product owner and content authority for offshore developers. Managed the user stories in two-week sprints and participated in the product demos.  Managed the product backlog in Version One application.
  • Generated the product transition plan of 55 products ($4B program) to common pricelist infrastructure for ease of use by business at Sun Microsystems. Delivered end-to-end product launch for Virtual Tape Storage product and controlled Enterprise Disk Array product releases at StorageTek.  Coached the QA team to adopt an agile SCRUM process.
  • As contracted by a Governor Executive Order (OIT), led Implementation of statewide Multi-Use Network in supporting the partnership with its public/private partner(s). This included supporting 64 counties for statewide ATM-WAN-Internet Service for State of Colorado Multi-Use Network (MNT). Created the product branding to create a professional looking service model and produced a product & support web site. Produced legislative reporting metrics, data model development and report creation. Quoted, sold and project managed all orders to Qwest (Fiber/T-1/ATM) for all non-state agencies for the program.
  • OIT E-Rate consultant and marketing management for over 181 school districts/libraries and became the 2nd largest internet provider for Colorado for the program.
  • Generated a program that enabled high speed internet access and video conferencing for distance learning service or the East Central BOCES (Board of Cooperative Educational Services).

Grew a 60-person PMO organization for risk analysis, program planning and scheduling to deliver programs across a large IT development organization and multiple business units.  9 team members were direct (FTE) reports which included project managers and analysts.

  • Contributed leadership for multi-million-dollar IT Next Generation initiatives including managing client expectations, communicating status, and identifying issues and resolving escalations.
  • Authored and administered IT PMO processes to included task management, issues-risk management, document management, status management and requirements management.
  • Administered multi-million-dollar vendor contracts such as Telcordia, AMS, Accenture and DMR.
  • Demonstrated extensive business analysis experience especially in the Quote to Revenue processes.
  • Implemented an end-to end systems solution for Qwest DSL product that provided rapid scalability to consumer sales channel, network management and customer care business functions.
